Jaguar XF Review 2009
Jaguar XF is Jaguar's new lexuary 4-door sedan that launched in India as well as international market.The car is made available in India by the automaker giant TATA motors.
2009 Jaguar XF will be launched in three trim levels:
- Luxury
- Premium Luxury
- Supercharged
The Luxury and Premium Luxury models will be equipped with a normally-aspirated V-8, while Supercharged models feature a more powerful version of the same V-8 engine. The transmission mode available is 6-speed automatic controlled with Sequential Shift SystemTM transmission helps to shift smoothly and rapidly
The cars cabin is furnished in leather and wood,with aluminum accents.Phosphor blue mood or “halo” lighting bathes the interior, while a consistent theme is used throughout the dashboard, switch panels, touch-screen display, and instruments.Externally the appears muscular and sporty to eyes.The drag coefficient is just 0.29.
Jaguar XF normally-aspirated model takes just 6.2 seconds for Zero to 60 mph 5.1 seconds in the case of Supercharged model. Top speed of both models is electronically limited to 155 mph.
Another peculiarity of Jaguar XF is that it provides independent suspension on all four sides. The front is of an unequal-length wishbone design, while the rear utilizes a multi-link design. Weight-saving aluminum is used throughout the suspension to improve ride quality. Standard on all Supercharged models is Jaguar’s Computer Adaptive Technology SuspensionTM (CATS). With CATS, all dampening is electronically controlled within milliseconds in response to driving inputs and road conditions—offering an optimal balance between control and comfort.
Safety MeasuresSafety measures includes additional protection by two-stage front air bags for Driver and passenger,side and curtain air bags communicate with an occupant-sensing system in the seats to ensure the air bags work precisely, and only as needed. Seat belt retractors and anti-whiplash headrests help to minimize additional injury during an accident.
