Forged connecting rods are made of high strength 4340 (EN24) steel and special bearings Cosworth engine offers a unique combination of design, metallurgy and engineering. Heavy duty cylinder studs high performance head gaskets multi-layer and a high pressure pump is also equipped with oil.

The overall result is a huge increase in torque higher up the rev range, and significantly improved in uniform acceleration. This not only allows the Impreza more manageable for every day the road, but also a much more marked in the field.

New turbocharger and "breathe" exhaust systems

The new Cosworth turbo system features a new design of the compressor and the wastegate actuator re-evaluated to provide boost pressure and gives more power.

A single exhaust has been developed, so that the engine "breathe" more easily, and the release of its full potential. The increased capacity of tubular manifolds and downpipes diameter increased to accelerate the evacuation of hot gases. The first catalyst is designing an exhaust pipe to the freer and larger exhaust note sound capabilities.

After the update in-depth performance Cosworth, with a new computer map, the boxer engine in the CS400 produces 33 percent more horsepower (400 hp at 5,750 rpm vs. 300 hp at 6000 rpm for standard Subaru Impreza WRX STI) and 542 Nm of torque, while remaining within the limits of torque to the design capacity of the drive train original Impreza.

Subaru have available the original suspension and main components, Cosworth and a team of engineers worked with Bilstein Eibach Chassis and technicians to design a tour package / handling / director, who was perfectly suited to the improved performance of the new model.

Special Eibach springs and Bilstein new inserts with unique cushioning properties that have been designed specifically Cosworth. The ride height has been lowered 10 mm front.

The benefits of the cleansing process is twofold. First, there is a big improvement in overall ride quality, which is easier to live with the Impreza a daily basis. Secondly, it is-the-limit behavior is more focused and composed. Updates attenuation means there is less pitch and roll in the corners, that is, drivers keen to return to power in the past and make the cars Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive system.

Upgrade "racing" brake better braking performance

To match the new Subaru Impreza Cosworth super pace, commissioned Cosworth to develop AP Racing front brakes more powerful. Larger diameter (355 mm) vented front discs have been adopted, with kettle-style racing with six-piston calipers in the personal operating larger brake pads.

The performance difference is immediately noticeable. The pillows hard helps minimize fading, meaning that drivers can rely on caps to AP delay time and still in force.

The standard drive Subaru Impreza WRX STI rear brake, brake balance and overall ABS system original have been preserved.

"Stand-out" looks, plus new style wheels

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI

2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI

In 2011, the Subaru Impreza may upgrade the audio capabilities, the STI-inspired styling for the sedan version of the WRX and WRX STI. Recent losing 2.5 GT.

Looking through the 2011 Subaru Impreza range is comparable to walking in the cereal aisle at the supermarket. Here's something for everyone from the base Impreza 2.5i Sedan WRX STI sedan sensitive devilishly fast. With such a wide range, in fact, may take some time to understand what kind of Impreza you want.

The Subaru Impreza 2011 incorporates a number of changes you want to pay attention. Each trim level except the base model's standard Impreza received an updated audio system that offers iPod integration and Bluetooth connectivity, although the sound quality is always en-al. There is also a new option for a low cost, removable (but dealer installed) TomTom navigation.

Those looking for performance will want to check out the Subaru WRX 2011, ITS will not only wide-body wings, but also improved through the manipulation of larger wheels, track size and larger rings rigid cradle. And then there's the STI itself, which gets a firmer suspension calibration and wheel easier to sharpen its handling and a little more standard features (like heated seats). This year is also the first year of the current generation Impreza, which you can order the WRX STI as a sedan, in addition to the existing sedan.

This comprehensive range means competing with many other Impreza models. Impreza summarized as basic will rise up against the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Mazda 3 and Volkswagen Golf. Impreza is not as fuel or as a value-based than its competitors, but it offers a standard four-wheel drive, a great advantage to those who live where rain and snow are a way of life. Outback Sport wagon, with its higher ground clearance and the lining of the body more, it can also serve as an alternative to a compact crossover SUV.

The compact athletic performance WRX listening belong to the club, which includes the Mazda Speed 3, the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart and Volkswagen GTI. Although lacking in features and refinement, the WRX is like an Olympic finalist Usain Bolt, as he boasts of rapid acceleration that beats them all. The WRX STI is a performance rally machine, there is an obvious choice for the types of Fast & Furious attracted big turbos, all wheel drive with limited slip differential. Of course, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution a thorn in the ubiquitous STI side fans are invited to test these two rockets road to see what works best for them.

As you have gathered to date, there are many flavors of the Subaru Impreza. If you are a resident of the snow belt in search of a compact base, with the advantage of four-wheel drive or high performance enthusiast looking for the sweet feeling of turbo boost pressure and agility, is likely to be a decent test drive Impreza.

Body styles, trim levels and options

In 2011 Subaru Impreza is available in four-door sedan and four-door hatchback. Trim levels include 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, Outback Sport, WRX, WRX Premium, WRX Limited, WRX STI and WRX STI Limited. The Outback Sport Sedan only, while the WRX STI Limited sedan only.

The 2.5i comes standard with steel wheels 16-inch, full power accessories, keyless entry, air conditioning, cruise control, rear seat 60/40-split-folding, a tilt steering column and a stereo with four speakers with CD player. The 2.5i Premium adds 16-inch alloy wheels, a leather steering wheel and a stereo with six-speaker CD player, extra audio jack, Bluetooth and USB.

Options for the base 2.5i trim includes a rear spoiler, grille insert, fog lights, a subwoofer audio, satellite radio and a package that includes an armrest with a mirror auto-dimming mirror, compass and a security system . The 2.5i Premium can be had optioned with many of the above, plus a package which includes sunroof, fog lights, heated front seats, heated mirrors and wiper de-icer.

The Outback Sport is equivalent to 2.5i Premium trim level, but has alloy wheels 17 inches, a raised suspension for ground clearance, fog lights, roof rails, bumper guards below, unique exterior trim, trim and a special internal standard weather package (heated front seats, heated mirrors and wiper de-icer).

WRX is essentially a high-performance version of the Impreza with the five-speed manual (no automatic is available), a turbo engine, summer tires, more aggressive suspension tune, tilt and telescopic steering column and a special WRX trim and body style . WRX Premium Package 2.5i Premium add more items, and sunroof. The options are installed on the dashboard navigation system, a change in the short distance, and turbo pressure gauge. Boost Mass Limited adds leather upholstery and xenon headlights.

The WRX STI is equipped like the WRX, but raises the bar performance. He obtained a gearbox six-speed manual, 18-inch wheels, performance tires, Brembo brakes, front and rear limited slip differentials, the vehicle options SI-Drive, a suspension tuned more aggressively, a more scoop hood, xenon headlights, sport seats and suede-like upholstery and leather. The WRX STI Limited adds fog lights, 18-inch BBS wheels, sunroof and leather trim package. A navigation system is optional on the MIC and STIs.

Engines and performance

Every 2011 Subaru Impreza comes standard with four-wheel drive. Outback 2.5i Sport models and are powered by a 2.5-liter horizontally opposed (boxer) four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. Five-speed manual gearbox, Hill Start Assist is standard four-speed automatic transmission is optional.

In performance tests, this normally aspirated 2.5-liter engine with the manual supplied with the Impreza a stop to 60 mph in 8.2 seconds. Although it has four wheel drive fuel economy is calculated result below average for a small car with that kind of power - the manual gets 20 mpg combined and 22 mpg city/27 mpg highway, while automation reduces the number of 26 mpg on the highway.

WRX is a turbocharged version of 2.5 that brings out 265 hp and 244 Nm of torque. A five-speed manual is a solitary choice. Its 0-60 time for the test was a lively 5.3 seconds, while fuel consumption estimates of 18/25/21. WRX STI Turbo Boost, and becomes even 305 hp and 290 Nm of torque. With its standard six-speed manual, the STI to achieve fuel economy 17/23/19, and, above all, to reach a blazing 60 mph 4.5 seconds.

Security
Standard on all Impreza models have antilock brakes, stability control, front seat side airbags, curtain airbags and active front headrests in the middle to help alleviate the accident caused by whiplash. In tests the brakes , 2.5i stopped 60 mph 122 feet, a good job. WRX stopped at 114 meters, and the TSI has been made 106 feet - both very good.

In government crash testing, scored in the 2011 Subaru Impreza five stars for frontal crash protection perfect, five stars for front passengers in the event of side impact and four stars for rear passengers in side collisions. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Impreza its highest rating possible of "good" in frontal-offset and side impact tests.

Interior Design and Special Features

Whether you choose the sedan or hatchback, the Subaru Impreza offers a spacious cabin with plenty of head and legs. The hatch naturally offers more cargo space, with a maximum of 44 cubic feet of space. Comfortable seats in the 2.5i models are pretty average and the driving position lacks a telescoping steering wheel (it is only on the WRX and upper trim). The seats are also much better on performance-based models, although the MST lack lateral support against their rivals.

The interior design is pleasant enough, but the quality of materials is cheap on the side of the compact class - especially when you pay $ 35 000 for the IST. The audio and climate are simple and straightforward. Choosing the factory in-dash navigation system adds to the complexity of music, such as menus and graphics are not the cleanest. A new option, however, a removable TomTom navigation system (dealer-installed), which may be easier to use. The sound quality of audio systems, including the latest, is disappointing.

Driving Impressions

2011 Subaru Impreza Base walks and runs to the satisfaction of a compact car, and his tenacious all-wheel drive is helpful to driving in adverse weather conditions. The naturally aspirated 2.5-liter Boxer sound character more than the typical high quality four-cylinder economy and also provides enough punch, at least when the manual transmission is specified. But the result is significantly blunted when the 2.5 is, along with the lazy, outdated four-speed automatic.

On the other hand, turbocharged Impreza WRX is an impressive performance of the machine of money, with a performance upgrade and more athletic moves in the most solid, thanks to suspension and summer performance tires. WRX STI jumps a few notches thanks to a limited slip differences between front and rear, Brembo brakes, powerful, a six-speed manual and the turbo acceleration rush when the throttle is open. Ride quality of the WRX models should take into account the performance, but some drivers may object to additional levels of road noise.

Subaru Trizia cars 2011 With Latest Reviews and Prices

Subaru Trizia cars 2011 With Latest Reviews and Prices
Maybe someone slipped in an extra cup of civility or forgot to add enough dashes of hardcore, but what was once little more than a thinly-disguised rally stage escapee had come out of the oven a little weaker than its predecessor.

Subaru itself diplomatically admits that the priorities for the last generation STI were somewhat different from the 2011 model. The company stripped the line down to just the five-door hatchback in 2008, stressing functionality over style, and the whole recipe simply felt less focused than what we had come to expect from Japan’s all-wheel drive hero.

2010 Subaru Impreza STI R205

Based on the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, the R205 enhanced the sheer driving performance it shares with former special performance models, such as the “S203? and the “S204?, developed by STI. The R205 is the top performance model of the WRX STI. The Subaru Impreza STI R205 features new and exclusive equipment and makes full use of specially designed features and performance parts of the “WRX STI spec C” model, the sporty performance model launched 2009. The “R” of R205 stands for “Road Sport”.

In addition, STI carried out verification tests of selected performance parts of the R205 through the participation of the 2009 Nurburgring 24-hour race with an Impreza WRX STI. Making full use of this precious race-track experience at Nurburgring – in which any road condition is condensed – STI successfully completed the model in order to offer sheer excitement and unique driving feeling as a distinctive “Road Sport Model”.

The R205 delivers an increased 235kW (320PS) of maximum output, and 431N.m (44.0kg.m) by adopting the exclusively designed turbocharger with ball bearings for the turbine axle bearing, specially tuned ECU (Engine Control Unit), and the sport muffler with lowered back pressure exhaust. SI-DRIVE (SUBARU Intelligent Drive) is also available to neatly suit driving style in any driving situation at driver’s command.

The front under spoiler, newly developed rear under spoiler, and the black rear spoiler improve aerodynamics. Exclusively designed 18-inch alloy wheels, specially colored front grille and side STI garnish accentuate its uniqueness.

On sale in Japan starting today, the Impreza R205 is priced from 4,510,000 Yen (without tax). The planed production is limited to 400 units.
