Overview
Maruti Suzuki's Versa was a flop in Indian car market because it was not a true value for money MPV( Multi Purpose Vehicle). Now Maruti Suzuki has solved all defects of Versa and launched their new MPV - The Eeco. Maruti Eeco was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi.

Maruti Eeco Charge
Maruti also revealed the Electric version of Maurti Eeco named Eeco charge at the Auto Expo 2010. Maruti Suzuki has spent nearly 60 crores for developing this car. The Maruti Eeco Charge is powered by a 5KW Li-ion battery offering the car, a 100km mileage and a topspeed of 10kmph.

Design & Interiors of Eeco
In one look, Maruti Eeco and Versa are alike. Some changes such as flat loading and a spacious bay, clear lens headlamps, new design tail lamps and fog lamps are made. Maruti Suzuki is a perfect combination of style and substance. Its bold design and stylish body graphics give it a balanced look. The Interiors are dual tone including beige and grey. The digital console adds to the driving convinience and sophisticated feel.
Maruti Eeco is equipped with sliding doors as in Maruti Omni and Versa. The integrated headrests on the front seats proveide excellent comfort and support. Maruti Eeco is suitable for personal use as well as work related travel. The seats are designed in such a way that ensures comfort and space for all.

Engine and Mileage
Maruti Eeco is equipped with a 1196cc petrol engine with 5-speed manual transmission. The engine produces a maximum power of 73 bhp @ 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 101 Nm @ 3000 rpm. The engine delivers high performance and acceleration with excellent fuel efficiency.
The mileage of Maruti Eeco is approximately 15.1kmpl. The gearbox with DSA(Diagonal Shift Assistance) technology offers noise free gear transmission.

Hyundai i10 Electric Variant
The i10 electric was revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2009. The new i10 Electric is the product of Hyundai's transformative vision for the future and the result of decades of investment in research and development.

The Hyundai i10 electric is powered by a highly efficient 49kWh electrical motor and a 16kWh battery and it uses advanced LiPoly (Lithium-Ion-Polymer) technology with numerous advantages over other batteries. The evolved battery technology and the low kerb weight provides i10 Electric with a drivig distance of 160km on a single charge. The top speed of new Hyundai i10 Electric is 130kmph.

TIPS FOR INCREASING THE MILEAGE OF YOUR VEHICLE

The cost of fuels is increasing day by day. But in this fast growing century, we can't dump our vehicles too. So the only way to cope with the increasing cost of fuel is to save the fuel. If we keep some care while handling the vehicle, we can not only save the fuel but also decrease the maintenance cost and increase the lifetime of the vehicle. "To save an amount of fuel is twice as same as to mine the same amount of fuel. Here are some tips to increase the mileage of your vehicle.

Maintaining Vehicle's Health
Change the oil in specified intervals. Normally the oil is changed once in 5000 kilometers. If the vehicle is used only rarely, don't wait for completion of 5000 kilometers, replace the oil once an year.

Keep The Tyres in Good Condition
The tyres must be of good quality and the pressure in them must same as that specified by the vehicle manufacturer. If the pressure is lower than the specified amount, friction increases. Then mileage decreases automatically. Some mechanics have an opinion that if the pressure is 2 pounds more than that specified by the manufacturer, the mileage further increases. The tyre pressure must be increased also when the vehicle's load increases.

Checking The Alignment Of The Wheels
The wheel alignment must be corrected once in 5000 kilometers. If any problem regarding alignment is felt while driving, contact a workshop immediately. If the alignment of the wheels is incorrect, the vehicle will have a tendancy to move towards sides which decreases the mileage of the vehicle. Also the handling of the vehicle becomes difficult. During service, tyre rotation must be done.

Drive Well - Save Fuel
The most efficient way to save fuel is by driving well. Smooth driving increases the mileage by 15%. Drive the car at 50-60 km/hr in top gears. Most apt speed is 55km/hr. As the speed increases, opposition from the air increases. As a result, the mileage increases. The apt speed for 2-wheelers is 40-50 km/hr.
Don't drive the vehicle with the choke pulled. Turn off the engine when stopping for more than 1 minute.

Drive The Vehicle In Proper Gears
While driving the vehicle, appropriate gear must be used. Unnecessary gear transmission adversely affects the mileage of vehicle.

Braking
Gradually transmitting into lower gears and then slowing down the vehicle is better than applying a sudden brake in the last second. Partially applying the clutch or brake while driving is also no good. Use both clutch and brake only when needed.

Apart from these, don't use the vehicle for distances less than 1 kilometer. Service the vehicle in Genuine Service Centres. Use only original spare parts.

2010 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, making its entrance to continue the success of its predecessor which was launched in 2007, is mentioned as the new top model in the Gallardo line-up. Having been trimmed by 70 kilograms (154 lb) compared with the Gallardo LP 560-4, the Gallardo Superleggera introduces the lightest road-going model in Lamborghini’s range with a dry weight of no more than 1340 kilograms (2954 lb).

The key factor for the light road-going of the Superleggera is the use of carbon-fiber components for the exterior and interior as well. It is thus supported with the use of the lightweight Gallardo Superleggera 19-inch units wheels made of forged aluminum that save 13 kilograms (28.6 lb). The wheel bolts are made from light and rigid titanium, while the tires are 235/35 ZR19 at the front and 295/30 ZR19 at the rear and come from the Pirelli P Zero Corsa series. With all exterior modifications directed at increasing aerodynamic effects, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera is said to bring a whole new meaning to the term “super sportscar”.





In the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, LP stands for “longitudinale posteriore” and refers to the orientation of the V10 engine – which is mounted longitudinally behind the driver, just like every Lamborghini engine. The number 570 refers to the maximum power output in CV, which equates to 419 kW and is available at 8,000 rpm. Equally impressive is the pulling power – the torque curve peaks at 540 Nm (398,3 ft lbs) at 6,500 rpm. The increase of 7 kW (10 CV) is the result of the new dedicated engine management strategy.

The V10 has a displacement of 5204 cm3 and achieves a specific output of 80.5 kW (109.6 CV) per liter. Special features on this long-stroke engine with an aluminum crankcase include dry sump lubrication and a cylinder angle of 90 degrees. Both solutions lower the center of gravity, thus improving the handling dynamics. To ensure an ideal combustion chamber fill, the engine has an adjustable intake manifold and continuous control of the chain-driven camshafts.

The Gallardo Superleggera is also considerably more efficient – compared with its predecessor, its fuel consumption in the EU driving cycle is reduced by 3,5 liters per 100 kilometer (0,9 gal), or 20,5 percent, to 13,5 liters/100 km (16 mpg). This improvement is partly due to the “Iniezione Diretta Stratificata” gasoline direct injection, which injects fuel into the combustion chambers at pressures of up to 100 bar. The tumbling mix cools the combustion chambers, which enables a very high compression ratio of 12.5:1 which, in turn, increases efficiency.

On the other hand, Fiat Grand Punto Trendz is a limited edition petrol model powered by an 1.2 litre Fire petrol engine. A trendy car again aimed at the youth segment, the Grande Punto Trendz is colorful and sporty, with snazzy interiors boasting a sophisticated audio system.
