All have been sold. Ferrari chose to build 80 Aptera SA, to mark the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina. SA Aptera is a true roadster, allowing occupants to enjoy the feelings associated with our signature top front-engined V12 architecture in a fully open-top setting. In fact, it's just a soft light above designed to be used if the weather is very bad. A windshield and low profile that it bends the lower to the ground as our other models to borrow an Aptera SA unusual aerodynamic sleekness. Profile arcs back of a pillar with two aerodynamic fins beautifully integrating the two arches, which even cleverly mimic the contour of the seats.

2010 Ferrari California Convertible

2010 Ferrari California Convertible Review

California is a different kind of state, and it is a different sort of Ferrari, too. The Italian car manufacturer has produced several floors front-engine GT car, but none have been powered by a V8 and a few were convertibles. Enter the 2010 Ferrari California, which not only has a front-mounted V8, but it has a retractable hardtop that gives fantasy a degree of sophistication and all-time guarantee that makes its predecessors seem ridiculously primitive recent in comparison.

If it seems odd to focus on the roof of California, is because this is a different kind of Ferrari with a different type of buyer. Although Ferrari estimated a woman of many buyers, the biggest change is that of comfort, luxury and convenience are more important than a quick thrill. This body folding metal hardtop is perhaps the most significant indication of this, because it adds a lot of weight in exchange for the noise reduction charge, more refined and elegant package that goes along with the increasing presence of design bond convertible. Unfortunately, the space needed for the roof mechanism has led to a rather embarrassing way back, something that even a Ferrari designer can not escape).

At first, it sounds as if California is to be placed in the wall of shame Prancing Horse on the side of 400 and 412. But despite his concessions to the comfort and refinement, we are pleased to announce that California proves critics wrong. The 4.3-liter V8 engine generates all the Ferrari sounds appropriate, and with 460 horsepower that pulls like a rogue, too. California is the first Ferrari to get the double automated manual transmission clutch. Not only fast moving scam, F1 does so without the low-speed manuals, Herky jerky movements Ferrari simple automated clutch before.

Although California is best suited for readers inspired to the coast or a luxurious cruise in town, it is important to note that Ferrari has not forgotten that its cars should go in the corners, too. California, maybe not easy, but it takes at least pounds are well distributed 47:53 front to rear. It is surprisingly agile and a car easy to drive - ideal for beginners expect Ferrari California will attract.

Of course, there are a handful of very special tour convertible to attract large buyers such. The price range is the 2010 Ferrari California Aston Martin DB9 Volante, Aston V8 Vantage Roadster, while Audi R8 Spyder Maserati GranTurismo and are particularly cheap. Hardtop none of the Ferrari, but all are certainly much more enjoyable because of it. Of course, none of them is a Ferrari. Like the state, California has a very special appeal.

Body styles, trim levels and options

2010 Ferrari California retractable hardtop-convertible bond is a standard 19-inch wheels, bi-xenon headlights, wheel knob "manettino" steering the vehicle adjustable options, full leather seats, folding rear seat, computer, hard drive system navigation and audio CD player, the touch screen.

The options are vast, as Ferrari are highly customizable - there is a lot of exterior paint and interior leather color options available. Typical elements include optional diamond wheels final 19 - and 20-inch sizes, run-flat tires, adaptive headlights, adjustable suspension, front parking sensors, rear camera, cruise control, auto-dimming mirrors, fiber improved aerodynamic carbon, synthetic suede upholstery, power seats, different designs of seat ("Daytona" style quilted diamond and carbon fiber racing in three sizes), an audio system and iPod interface.

Engines and performance

The rear-wheel drive Ferrari California is powered by a 4.3-liter V8 that cranks 460 horsepower and 357 lb-ft of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual is the only transmission available. The Ferrari California is able to sprint from zero to 60 km / h in under 4 seconds. If you are in any way care, California gets about 13 mpg highway mpg city/19 mpg combined and 15.

Security

Anti-lock disc brakes, front side airbags, automatic roll-bars for use, stability and traction control are standard on the 2010 Ferrari California.

Interior Design and Special Features

Like all current Ferrari, the new California has an interior worthy of its high price. There are all leather (available in combinations of various shades), and the overall design is contemporary and cutting. The steering wheel "manettino" button allows the driver to control over a wide range of dynamic characteristics of the vehicle. The entertainment system with touch screen offers a variety of virtues, storing music on the hard drive and iPod connectivity available, but is essentially a silver painted version of the main unit in most Chrysler Group products. This partnership in a $ 200 000 Ferrari is bad enough, but below the average of its features is worse.

The rear seat in California is so small that it would be stupid not to get the shelf into place - it looks nicer, and the case is bent anyway. Trunk space with the top up is impressive 12 cubic feet, and there are still 8.5 meters cubic useful to the left from top to bottom.

Guide

Weighs about 3.800 pounds, the 2010 Ferrari California is hardly a basic sports car. However, in California, one handling is exemplary, with a relatively smooth ride for cruising and handling that is clear enough to justify the prancing horse badge. Since it was introduced, many people wanted to reject California as a poseur car plate, but he quickly turned the conduct of these assumptions are false. The V8 with direct injection pulls hard and sounds fantastic, while the new dual-clutch transmission is polite and efficient if you're banging through the gears on the back roads or tinkering around the city in automatic mode. And thanks to its retractable hardtop, coupé refinement speed CV is also in California.

One of the most significant innovations in the 599 GTO is a high correlation between the configuration of the chassis, which is located near the boundary handling, and the introduction of electronic controls to be developed to improve overall performance.

ust as significant are the technical specifications – 670 hp in a 1495kg car represents a weight-to-power ratio of just 2.23 kg/hp. That ensures acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 3.35 seconds, giving a top speed of over 335 km/h. Benefiting directly from the technological transfer from racing, the 599 GTO set a record lap time at Fiorano in 1’24”.

The 5999 cc 65-degree V12 engine, which complies with Euro 5 and LEV 2 standards, punches out 670 CV at 8250 rpm with maximum torque of 620 Nm at 6500 rpm. This result was obtained by working on the fluid-dynamics and components to reduce internal friction and by adopting, amongst other things, the 599XX’s redesigned crankshaft. The engine sound inside the car is carefully controlled to balance the intake sound with the exhaust, which features a 599XX-derived 6-into-1 manifold.

The 599 dry weight is 1495 kg with a weight-to-power ratio of just 2.23 kg/hp. Benefiting aerodynamics significantly from Ferrari engineers’ experience in F1 and with the 599XX, the 599 GTO generates downforce of 144 kg at 200 km/h.

The GTO’s front tyres are now 285/30 on a 9.5’’ channel with 315/35 on an 11.5’’ channel at the rear. The 599 GTO has 20’’ rims. The 599 GTO boasts an excellent 100 to 0 km/h braking distance of just 32.5 meters. As well as their role in improving aerodynamics, the Formula 1-derived wheel doughnuts also improve braking efficiency by optimizing brake cooling. The public debut of the 599 GTO will be at the Beijing International Motor Show at the end of April.

The Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta is based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and was inspired by a Carrozzeria Fantuzzi-designed Ferrari built specifically for the 1968 Fellini film, Toby Dammit, itself inspired by one of the tales of Edgar Allan Poe.

The first shake-down has been held at Fiorano of a very special one-off, the P540 Superfast Aperta, built for an American client. The car, the second in a new Special Projects programme created by Ferrari to meet requests from the most discerning clients and collectors to create truly unique models, is based on the 599 GTB Fiorano and was inspired by a Carrozzeria Fantuzzi-designed Ferrari built specifically for the 1968 Fellini film, Toby Dammit, itself inspired by one of the tales of Edgar Allan Poe.

The P540 Superfast Aperta’s proud new owner, Edward Walson, son of John Walson, the inventor of cable TV, approached Ferrari in 2008 to produce a modern reinterpretation of the gold-coloured car in the film. In accordance with the Special Project’s approach to producing such individual one-offs, the P540 Superfast Aperta respects all existing international safety and homologation requirements and is thus road legal. The car was designed by Pininfarina and built in Maranello, and the client was directly involved in each stage of its development. As the 599 GTB Fiorano donor car is a coupĂ©, considerable effort went into strengthening the chassis by using finite element analysis in development and the increase in weight was kept down to just 20 kg by employing carbon-fibre extensively. From the initial sketches to the final, road-legal car took just 14 months.
