2011 Bentley Mulsanne Sedan Review

In 2011, Bentley Mulsanne offered at a very well-equipped trim. Standard equipment includes alloy wheels 20-inch, bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, heated and auto-dimming mirrors on the outside, a power trunk lid and rear parking sensors, windshield wipers , a self-leveling air suspension, control of selected disk (Comfort, Normal and Sport), keyless ignition / entry and a port of loading of the battery down.

Inside, occupants can enjoy the leather upholstery for almost any surface, wood, glass breaker, heated 14-way power front seats with memory, power adjustable seats with heating and memory back eight (outboard only), four-zone automatic climate control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel multifunction, mirrors, auto-dimming mirror and power window and rear privacy monitors.

Mulsanne electronic interfaces include a navigation system, Bluetooth, an interface controller multimedia voice command, a system of 14 speakers sound with a six-CD changer, a music server of 20 GB, iPod connectivity , USB / auxiliary input, and mini USB for smart phones or cameras.

Well-off customers are likely to benefit from the long list of options that includes 21-inch wheels, a radiator mascot "Flying B", chrome accents outside, tinted rear windows, ventilated seats, heated steering wheel in wood veneer, aluminum pedals, a rear view mirror camera, adaptive cruise control, mood lighting, a first Naim audio system and twin 8-inch rear screens. In addition to the many color choices for the body and interior trim, buyers can also specify custom colors - for an additional charge, of course.

Engines and performance

In 2011, Bentley Mulsanne is powered by a brand new, twin-turbo 6.8-liter V8 that produces 505 horsepower and 752 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters is the only transmission offered, and the channels of power to the rear wheels. In tests, Mulsanne derives its 6000 pounds by stopping at 60 km / h in just 5.7 seconds. No wonder that fuel economy is EPA-estimated 11 mpg city/18 mpg highway and 13 mpg in combined driving.

Security

Security for the Bentley Mulsanne 2011 includes front and rear side airbags for head and thorax, the stability control, traction control, disc brakes with ABS with Brake Assist and Auto Hill Hold.

Interior Design and Special Features

While the attention of all other manufacturers to detail, "Bentley Mulsanne is the cabin in 2011, with more of an" obsession with detail. "Almost the entire surface is covered with leather, the same trunk lines. Y n is not just any leather. Bentley returned to that old style that gives a soft feel and exquisite fragrance, without chemicals.

The framework is made of glass or polished stainless steel and all the knobs are in the traditional style ribs of a Bentley. Navigation and audio systems are familiar to anyone who has used the same control interface in a modern Audi. The screen is clear and easy to read, and the operation is easy, once you learn the menus.

Of course, comfort is paramount in any luxury car, the Bentley Mulsanne and excels in this area. The seats are shaped for a variety of body types and there is enough leg room and head for frequent travelers. If you need legroom - driver of a center in the NBA, for example - the front passenger seat can slide forward to accommodate everything. The boot is also spacious, with room for golf bags and big bags.

Driving Impressions

Despite an empty weight of 5.700 pounds heavy, the Bentley Mulsanne 2011 moves with the urgency of a much lighter car. Its 505 hp does not seem that impressive, but 752 pounds-feet of torque is, no doubt - especially when all that power opens up from just 1,800 rpm.

However, such power does not detract from the focus on the luxury Bentley. Unless you floor the pedal, you will not even notice the presence of an engine. The rapid acceleration is also misleading, forcing the pilot to control the speedometer. In cornering, the Mulsanne sure-footed, but certainly not agile. But the sporty handling is not the priority of this car. The Mulsanne was built to transport passengers in ultimate luxury, isolated in a silence full of bubbles leather. At this point, went very well.

2012 Bentley Continental Super Sport Coupe

2012 Bentley Continental Coupe review Supersport

In 2012, the Bentley Continental Super Sport is a high performance two-seater version of the Continental GT coupe to be offered in a single, well-appointed trim level.

Standard features include 20-inch wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, a rear spoiler, bi-xenon headlights, parking sensors, a unique exterior design, automatic wipers, keyless ignition / entry, dual zone automatic temperature control, a rear tray, light four-way manual front seats (up to the owner's driving position is preferred), synthetic suede upholstery and trim, sport steering, carbon fiber trim, Bluetooth stereo and 10 speakers with 15 GB music storage, iPod interface, satellite radio subscription for life. A navigation system with Google Maps, and support real-time traffic is also included.

Compared to the normal GT, it offers lightweight performance-oriented Super Sports fewer opportunities. But the options do not include a power trunk, a rear view camera, several two-tone interior colors, a class of 15-speaker Naim audio system and the ability to reinstall the standard Continental GT seats.

Propulsion and Performance

In 2012, the Bentley Continental Super Sport is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 that produces 621 horsepower and a massive 590 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission is standard. In performance testing , hitting Supersports 60 mph from standstill in 3.8 seconds on its way to its top speed of 204 mph said. Poor fuel economy - 12 mpg highway mpg and 14 mpg city/19 combined with the EPA estimates - should not surprise us.

Security

Standard features of the Continental Supersports safety features include antilock brakes with carbon-ceramic disc, stability and traction control and side curtain airbags (coupe). In brake tests, the Supersport has come to a stop from 60 mph in a very short 109 meters.

Interior Design and Special Features

From the standpoint of performance Super Sport, the interior design waiver Bentley leather and rich wood veneers used with impeccable track-inspired carbon fiber and a faux suede material. Lightweight racing buckets, in turn replaces the front seats comfortable. Unfortunately, these sites are not included in the changes of power, and are adjustable in height. Bentley is a place tailored to the driver, although this is quite a lot 'of borders, which can drive a car (which can be a bad idea to light).

Questions seat at the side, inside the 'Supersport is also very well done as any Bentley. Each element of the cabin, either chrome knurled or equipment to be an expert in carbon fiber, it seems cleverly created by a master craftsman. The trunk is generous compared with the exotic GT lack of standards and tight rear seat will accommodate any overflow of the load.

Driving Impressions

Tipping the scales at about 5,000 pounds, the Bentley Continental Supersport pen in 2012. However, in tests , the Supersports ran through the slalom at 67.8 mph, a speed comparable to the lighter BMW M3 convertible. It is an impressive feat, however, Heft Bentley does not go unnoticed. Those who are accustomed to hiking luxury traditional Bentley could also be a surprise since the company emerged Supersports is much less luxurious, regardless of suspension setup you choose.

This group is limited to only 80 copies, and cosmetic enhancements, such as 20-inch wheels, metallic dark gray soft top, Mulliner alloy fuel cap, three-spoke steering wheel, pedals, wheels, special materials for interior packages interior and exterior badging and compact.

Engines and performance

Power Bentley Continental GTC Speed is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine with 12 cylinders arranged in a unique formation of the Volkswagen Group W. W12 This powerhouse produces an impressive 600 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque. Even more remarkable is that all that torque is only a 1700 RPM mixer. Six-speed automatic transmission levers on the steering column is the only transmission, and sends power to all four wheels.

Despite its curb weight 5478 pounds heavier, the speed of the Continental GTC shakes from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, according to Bentley. The maximum speed is related to an impressive 200 mph with the top. As expected, fuel economy is decidedly low, registering an EPA estimated 10 mpg city/17 highway.

Security

Safety Standard Features 2011 Continental GTC Speed includes stability control, traction control, front side airbags and seat anti-lock disc brakes, Brake Assist. There is also a rollover protection system, which introduced automatically behind the rear seats. The optional carbon-ceramic brakes, stops GTC Speed 60 mph entered 105 feet, supercar level performance is all the more impressive given the enormous weight of GTC Speed.

Interior Design and Special Features

Even with the high expectations that come with all Bentley Continental GTC Speed is inside does not disappoint. Metal accents and leather upholstery and rich wood soft is blameless, with the charm of the old order until push-pull, a Breitling watch and the metal contacts and handles. Unfortunately, the infotainment and navigation is old world and Bentley has not changed since the 2004 Continental GTC in the introduction, and his age shows on the screen too small and non-intuitive interface. Fortunately, the iPod interface option is easier to use.

These passengers will probably be satisfied with their leather-wrapped thrones, but in the back seat is another story - there is room for two passengers short, but only if those in front are in a generous mood. Trunk capacity of 9.2 cubic feet is impressive given the GTC Speed is magnified proportions, but it is sufficient to accommodate a standard golf bag with the wood removed.

Driving Impressions

Despite the weight of the 2011 Continental GTC Speed stout and larger dimensions, is surprisingly well-mannered performance. The acceleration is allowed - as it should, with 600 horsepower on tap. The lowered ride height, suspension settings and partially adjustable rear wheels at all can lead more excited than you ever expect in a huge vehicle.

Calculate the beautiful lined with soft top, wind deflector formed by folding the rear seat, raise the windows and wonder how little noise and air to infiltrate the cab of Bentley. 75 mph, you will spoil your hair more than if the air conditioning was turned up.

Remains comfortable ride, despite suggestions to shake rough asphalt cap. The control is lightweight and does not offer any communication, that some other exotic convertible facts, but in the end, GTC Speed is what most expect it to be: sharp, sophisticated convertible bonds tour level of performance has not found a regular GTC.

It has many high-tech features now expected in a luxury car, but the use of these features is a pain because it lacks the functionality of the newer systems.

Driving Impressions

The 2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur, with its almost silent cabin, adjustable suspension and a W12 turbine is able to provide the sensation of flying low level rather than a cruise on a long stretch of road. It is unlikely, also handles the back roads of curves like a car much smaller. However, compared with other large luxury sedans, in bulk, the Bentley is undeniable, and not so strong as to drive cars like the Jaguar XJ and the Porsche Panamera. If you are looking for transportation is more imposing than the energy, however, the Flying Spur should certainly offer.

2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed review

2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed review

What is enough? When it comes to ultra-high performance luxury cars, it seems that too much is almost enough. The 2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed illustrates this concept, based on the already impressive "regular" Flying Spur.

A quick glance at the numbers say it all. Speed records standard Flying Spur to reach 60 mph in 4.6 seconds a small and rises to a 200 mph supercar worthy. Power is increased from 552 to 600 horsepower and handling is sharpened when the road starts to wind. These gains come at a price though - $ 25,400 to be exact. This amounts to, then a high-stakes game of one upmanship.

More than $ 200,000, the Flying Spur Speed to give some of the richest buyers pause. With the possibility of future improvements, as more legroom in the rear seats, components for infotainment updated and refreshed the style, the future owners may wish to postpone the purchase until the speed comes next.

If latency is not an option, however, buyers can still rest easy knowing they have a very nice car. Exclusivity is guaranteed with anything but the Flying Spur Speed is the high price, while the owners are likely to benefit from Bentley sober style and old world charm as much as the next version.

But for now, those seeking a little more modern check the higher level models of the Jaguar XJ and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Aston Martin Rapide and Porsche Panamera is to be considered. Rolls-Royce Ghost is in the price range Bentley and offers even more prestige. Fortunately for the buyer of well-off, it is not a bad choice in the bunch, because none of these luxury sedans will disappoint.

Body styles, trim levels and options

The 2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed is a high performance ultra-luxury sedan that comes in one trim level very well equipped.

In addition, the standard is a navigation system, Bluetooth and a 12-speaker six-CD audio and satellite radio.

In addition, the Flying Spur Speed also incorporates elements of this package is the Spur Mulliner specification flying practices, including contrast stitching, special security lines, drilled alloy sports pedals, a fresh bottle from the fridge back and cabbage wool rug in bold.

Options include power adjustable rear seats with a rear center console complete front and rear fan (replacing the diamond-skin leather upholstery as standard), a rear three seats, a rear entertainment system two screens, folding wooden tables for rear passengers, a heated steering wheel, rearview camera, power trunk, opening and closing, adaptive cruise control, a sound 15-speaker Naim and iPod integration.

Engines and performance

2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed is powered by a 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12, which is an impressive 600 hp and 553 pound-feet of torque. Power is channeled through a six-speed automatic edit manually. These characteristics, combined with the Flying Spur Speed all-wheel-drive system, combined with all the leading 5567 pounds of this scarce Bentley 60 mph 4.6 seconds performance testing. Equally impressive is the maximum speed of 200 mph.

Security

The standard safety features in the Flying Spur Speed 2011 include side and curtain airbags front and rear. A detection system in the rear seat passengers automatically increases the rear headrests to ensure the best possible protection against neck injuries. Antilock disc brakes, traction control and stability control are also standard equipment. In brake tests, the Flying Spur Speed stopped to 60 mph in 106 feet. With an incredible sports-car-like performance, carbon-ceramic brakes are optional really necessary.

Interior Design and Special Features

All the luxury car market, few can dispute the Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed in a lovely interior. Only the finest leathers and woods are selected, and the traditional professionalism shown in every detail. Push-pull control vent, the Breitling watch and pictures of real metal makes the cabin of an old world charm, but also prevented the infotainment screen. It has many high-tech features could not expect a luxury car, but the use of these features is not as easy as it should be, because it lacks the functionality of new systems.

Driving Impressions

Continental Flying Spur, which is based on speed, was a stout performer. Sharper handling and more power, 2011 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed seems appropriate for motorists who think too much is just enough. Despite the turbulence of the 600 hp under the hood, the speed is almost imperceptible, and slide down the road. Even if you drive like a much smaller and lighter than a car, compared to other large luxury sedans, mass Bentley is undeniable, and simply is not as energetic as to drive cars like the Jaguar XJ and the Porsche Panamera . If you are looking for traffic, which is more beautiful than the energy, however, the Flying Spur Speed will be given.
